What does it mean when I get an unfilled message for my interlibrary loan request?

While most requests are successful, not every request can be filled. Because we are requesting physical or digital materials from other libraries, we are not always able to fill every request. Even though other libraries may own or subscribe to an item, it does not guarantee their library policy will allow them to share the item with us.
