DOI stands for "digital object identifier" and it's a unique number assigned by publishers to online journal articles and book chapters. When a DOI is included in a citation, it is easier to locate the cited work. The DOI is a series of numbers and of letters and typically appears at the end of a citation. Here is an example:
If you have a DOI, you can search in the library collections for it. Go to the OneSearch homepage and click the SEARCH DOI/PMID (ARTICLES) tab at the top of the page. The LibKey.io page will open. Type the DOI number into the search box and click FIND DOI. The Linking Options will be displayed in the next screen and you can click to view the item.
If the item is not available, search for it in OneSearch but expand your search from Everything (Saybrook Library materials) to Beyond My Library (Interlibrary Loan) and you can then request it via our borrowing service.
