The library subscribes to many databases. The A-Z Database List allows users to search in individual databases. This differs from using OneSearch, the search engine found on the library homepage which searches through several databases at the same time.
When you click the A-Z Database List tab, you are redirected to a list of databases. If you know the name of the database you want to search in, type it into the search box in the upper right corner. It should come up in the results. Click it to open it.
You can also filter the list by subject (psychology), type (article, streaming video, etc.), or vendor (EBSCO, ProQuest, etc.) using the menu options at the top.
The A-Z Database List is useful when you want to search in a specific database but use caution because searching only in one database can limit the amount of content you might find. It also can be time-consuming to search in one database at a time versus searching in multiple databases simultaneously.
One more item of note...OneSearch does not search through ALL of our databases. In the list of database names, look for a magnifying glass icon after the name. This means the database is included in OneSearch and a OneSearch search will bring results from that database. If you do NOT see the magnifying glass icon, you should search directly in that database.
