Most eBooks allow for unlimited access by multiple users at the same time. Some eBooks only permit a limited number of users at a time. If a title only allows for one or three users (typical access models), you may see a notification that says "In use" and find the Read Online button grayed out. This means it is being used by someone else.
When one of the users of the book does one of the following, the status of the book will change to Available:
You can usually just give it a bit of time and a copy will become available. If the issue is causing repeated problems for you, please email the library at library@saybrook.edu so we become aware of it. We may be able to purchase additional copies.
